Our Mission

The mission of the Central Kentucky Housing and Homeless Initiative is to mobilize the nonprofit, public, faith-based and private sectors in our communities in an effort to end homelessness and ameliorate housing insecurity.

History

The Central Kentucky Housing and Homeless Initiative (CKHHI) officially launched on March 3, 2003. With administrative assistance from LexLinc’s Provider Cabinet (a community collaborative first created in 1998 to address issues associated with welfare reform), CKHHI has managed the HUD Continuum of Care planning process in Lexington Fayette County since the submission of the 2003 CoC. The organization has been incorporated under the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code of the federal government. more ...
